Diamond Quarles

Diamond Quarles is working overtime to support her family and her loved one in prison. She enrolled her spouse Jerrod in Level’s prison education program because his facility didn’t offer much in the way of educational programming. “Guys in these situations have lost all hope, right? They got this bad report card of life, basically… Hope is what you guys give,” she says about Level.

Expanding the Reentry Ecosystem: Harley Blakeman Launches Reentry Care

Reentry Care, a new project by our friend Harley Blakeman at Honest Jobs, provides free healthcare enrollment assistance to justice-impacted people, currently serving Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Alicia Guthrie

September 8, 2025

Alicia Guthrie had been to jail before, but the four and a half months that she spent in a Texas county jail in 2024 were unlike anything she had ever experienced. She felt dehumanized and unsafe. When she came across Level’s prison education program, she knew it was for her. “Y’all are helping people that others are shutting the door to.” she says. “Level really impacted me a lot.”

2024 Year In Review

Thanks to our community both inside and outside prison walls, 2024 has been incredible for Level. We published three new educational guides and delivered over 4,440 educational guides and 2,700 certificates directly to 2,200 incarcerated learners across the country. Educational Needs Of Women In Prison

July 25, 2024

Level conducted a nationwide survey to learn more about the educational needs of women in prison. We surveyed nearly 300 women in federal, state, and county facilities across 34 states and asked them what educational programs were available to them and whether these programs met their needs. 2022 has been incredible for Level and we’d love to share details about our growth. We served 1,700 incarcerated learners at 730 unique federal, state and county prisons across the country.
